Well here we go

I was going to make my first blog entry about the history and growth of Goal Challenge but this is more important.

I am going to tell you about how you can help a worthwhile childrens charity without it costing you a penny

One of our regular players is running in the Edinburgh Marathon at the end of May 2009, to raise money for this charity.

Namely Derian House, a Childrens Hospice in Chorley, Lancashire.

Anyhow what can you do? There are 4 ways that are explained below: -
1) Cheque to Derian House
2) Widget through my homepage
3) Do something for charity yourself
4) 50% of advertising revenue from this site through to May 2009 will be donated by me.

In detail....

1)Send them a cheque. THE ADDRESS IS HERE
I know this way costs you money but what the hell I've said it now.

2)On my site homepage you will see a widget for JustGiving.com you can make a direct donation to Jackie's page for Derian House this is fast, easy and secure.

3)Give your support in anyway you can think of - if you're thinking about jumping out of a plane or running around Scotland or London with a number stapled to your chest then do it for Charity...(enough said!!)

4)This website of mine can help (yes I am an individual), it's a cash machine thats what is was designed for.

I normally split any money made 60% for a win fund and 40% for running costs and maybe I'll have enough for a pint or two at christmas.

Here is what I am going to do

I am going to split any advertising revenue made from this site down the middle 50% prize fund and 50% for Derian House until Jackie (our member) has run her marathon at the end of May.

Since I started running adverts on this site I have made about £39.00 so I am going to split that. So I already have £19.50; it's not a lot but its a start I'm sure you will agree.

I know its been a long read which I apologise for, but it's nothing compared to the hard work that Derian House do, and the hard work Jackie is doing training, not to mention the personal expense in travelling and accomodation to raise awareness for this Charity.

I will put an update on my homepage soon, with regards to fund value.
